Pennsylvania: Borough of Albion Passes Gun Ban! Please Stand-Up and Make Your Voices Heard!
Without public notice, the Borough of Albion passed a policy that will outlaw the possession of firearms on all property owned by the borough.
This ill-conceived ban, which includes Right-to-Carry permit holders, creates victim zones by disarming potential crime victims. Moreover, this policy is a clear violation of Pennsylvania’s preemption statutes which dictate that only the State Legislature can enact laws pertaining to firearms.
Please attend tomorrow’s Borough Council meeting and express your opposition to the institution of this policy. Tomorrow’s meeting will be held at 7:30 p.m. at the borough office located at 26 Smock Avenue.
If you are unable to attend, please contact your borough officials and voice your opposition to this unwarranted, unjust, and illegal policy.

Pennsylvania: TheBorough of Swarthmore to Consider “Lost or Stolen” Ordinance! Please Stand Up and Make Your Voice Heard!
Mayor Richard Lowe, a member of New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg’s anti-gun coalition, “Mayors Against Illegal Guns”, has introduced an ordinance that would require gun-owners to report lost or stolen firearms within 72-hours or face a fine up to $1,000 and/or up to 90 days in jail.
This proposal not only violates Pennsylvania’s state preemption laws, but also potentially turns law-abiding gun owners -- who have already been victimized by theft -- into criminals.
This proposed ordinance will be heard on Monday, March 1 at 7:30 p.m. at the Swarthmore Borough Hall. A potential vote could take place on Monday, March 8. Please make plans to attend this hearing and show your support for the Second Amendment.
